South Africa Visa Requirements for Bangladeshi Citizens

Please note that there is no South African Embassy or Consulate in Dhaka. Bangladeshi citizens are required to apply for their South African visa at the South African Embassy in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Tourist Visa Requirements:

1. Visa Application Form: Fill out the form with the required information using block letters and black ink only.
2. Passport Size Photographs: Submit 2 recent color photographs.
3. Applicant’s Office ID Card: Provide a copy of your office ID card or visiting card (3 copies).
4. Personal Forwarding Letter/Cover Letter: Write a letter stating the purpose of your visit, addressing it to “Visa Consular, South Africa High Commission, Colombo, Sri Lanka”.
5. Forwarding Letter from Employer: Obtain a letter from your employer confirming the purpose and duration of your visit, addressed to “Visa Consular, South Africa High Commission, Colombo, Sri Lanka”.
6. Letter of Invitation: Include a letter of invitation confirming the purpose and duration of your visit, addressed to “Visa Consular, South Africa High Commission, Colombo, Sri Lanka”.
7. Inviter’s/Host’s Documents: Provide a copy of the South African citizen’s ID card or passport, or a certified permit if they are a non-SA resident.
8. Salary Statement/Slip: Submit your current three months’ salary statements.
9. Bank Statements: Provide certified copies of your bank statements for the last three months.
10. Travel Insurance: Obtain travel insurance coverage for the duration of your stay in South Africa.
11. Flight Itinerary & Hotel Accommodation Confirmation: Submit a copy of your flight itinerary and confirmation of hotel accommodation. These documents must be on the letterhead of the hotel.
12. Original Passport: Ensure your passport is valid for at least 30 days beyond the intended visit, with two unused facing pages.

Note: The High Commission may request additional documents not listed above on a case-by-case basis. You will be notified if any additional documents are required.

Business Visa Requirements:

1. Visa Application Form: Fill out the form with the required information using block letters and black ink only.

3. Applicant’s Office ID Card and Visiting Card: Provide 3 copies of your office ID card and visiting card.
4. Letter of Invitation: Obtain a letter of invitation from your business contact in South Africa, addressing it to “Visa Consular, South Africa High Commission, Colombo, Sri Lanka”.
5. Inviter’s/Host’s Documents: Provide a copy of the South African citizen’s ID card or passport, or a certified permit if they are a non-SA resident.
