There are two types of visas for Iraq:
- Tourist Visa: This visa allows you to enter Iraq once within three months from the date of issuance. Once you enter, you are permitted to stay in the country for up to one month.
- Regular Visa: With a regular visa, you can enter Iraq once within three months from the date of issuance. However, after entering the country, you must obtain approval from the Directorate of Residence. Once approved, you can stay in Iraq for a maximum period of three months.
To apply for an Iraqi visa, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Valid Passport: Your passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of application.
- Completed Application Form: Fill out the visa application form and attach a recent photograph in the designated space.
- Sufficient Funds: You should be able to cover your living expenses during your stay in Iraq, especially for regular passport holders.
- No Objection: There should be no objection to your entry into the Republic of Iraq based on public health, security, moral, or national economic reasons.
- No Deportation Order: You should not have any record or order of elimination from the Republic of Iraq, which would prevent you from entering the country.
- No Criminal Convictions: You should not be accused or convicted of any crimes outside of Iraq.
- Compelling Reason: Present a compelling reason for your visit to Iraq.
