To apply for a tourist visa to Spain, you will need to prepare the following documents:

  1. Spanish Schengen visa application form: Complete the application form for a Spanish Schengen visa accurately and sign it.
  2. Passport and photocopy: Submit your original passport with a minimum validity of three months beyond the intended stay in Spain. Also, provide a photocopy of the personal data page, relevant pages, and any previous visas.
  3. Visa fee: Pay the applicable visa fee at the embassy or consulate. The fee amount may vary, so confirm it with the embassy beforehand.
  4. Medical insurance: Obtain medical insurance that covers a minimum of €30,000 and includes repatriation in case of emergency. The insurance should be valid for the entire duration of your stay in all Schengen States.
  5. Proof of return ticket: Provide a full-page photocopy of your confirmed round-trip flight reservation or booking.
  6. Hotel confirmation or accommodation proof: Submit documents confirming your hotel reservation or other proof of accommodation for the entire duration of your stay in Spain.
  7. Financial means: Present original bank statements (personal and company) and credit card statements for the last six months. The statements should be updated, signed by the bank/branch manager, and bear the seal/stamp of the bank/branch manager.
  8. Additional documents for specific circumstances:
    • If visiting family or friends: Provide proof of sponsorship, including evidence of family ties with the sponsor, a letter of invitation, and any additional supporting documentation required by the specific country.
    • If employed: Submit a certificate of employment from your employer, including the company’s address, contact information, your position, salary, number of years of service, and a certificate of leave absence if applicable.
    • If self-employed: Include the certificate of incorporation, memorandum and articles of association, and trade license of your company or organization in Bangladesh. These documents should be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and translated into Spanish. Also, provide income tax returns (translated into Spanish) for the last year and your TIN certificate.
    • If a student: Provide proof of enrollment in an educational establishment in Bangladesh, a certificate of leave absence if traveling during the school year, and a letter from the school detailing the purpose, duration, and destination of the trip.
    • If traveling with spouse and/or children: Submit a legalized and translated marriage certificate, as well as birth certificates for children. If applicable, provide consent from parents or custodians if both parents are not traveling together.
  9. Personal letter of introduction: Write a personal letter introducing yourself, stating the reason for your trip, and providing your itinerary.
  10. Documents related to civil status: Depending on your marital status, include the relevant documents such as marriage certificates, divorce certificates, death certificates (if widowed), and birth certificates (for children).
  11. Photocopies: Make one-sided photocopies of all the documents in A4 format. These photocopies will be properly scanned, so ensure you have a complete set to accompany your application.
  12. Legalization and translation: All public documents, including Nikah Nama, marriage certificates, birth certificates, and trade licenses, must be issued in English, legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), and translated into Spanish.
