Traveling to Seychelles: Visa and Entry Requirements

To visit Seychelles, you must possess a valid passport or any other travel documents that are recognized by Seychelles. Your passport should remain valid for the duration of your stay, and it should also have an additional validity of at least six months beyond the date of your departure to your home country or country of residence.

Upon arrival in Seychelles, a short-stay visitor’s permit will be issued to individuals who are visiting for holiday, pleasure, business, or to visit friends or family. To be eligible for the visitor’s permit, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Prohibited immigrant: You should not be classified as a prohibited immigrant under Seychelles immigration regulations.
  2. Valid return or onward ticket: You must possess a valid return or onward ticket that covers the entire duration of your stay in Seychelles.
  3. Confirmed accommodation: You need to have confirmed accommodation arrangements for the duration of your visit. This could include hotel reservations, a letter of invitation from a host, or other suitable accommodation arrangements.
  4. Sufficient funds: You must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay in Seychelles. The minimum requirement is at least US$150.00 or its equivalent per day.

The visitor’s permit can be granted for a maximum period of three months initially. If necessary, it can be extended for additional periods of up to three months each, with a maximum cumulative duration of twelve months. However, you must continue to meet the criteria as a genuine visitor throughout your stay.

Initially, the visitor’s permit is issued free of charge for the first three months. Subsequent extensions beyond three months are subject to a fee, which covers each period of three months or any part thereof.
