Visa Requirements for Bangladeshi Nationals Traveling to Costa Rica

Bangladeshi nationals who wish to visit Costa Rica are required to obtain a visa prior to their trip. Although there is no Costa Rican Embassy or Consulate office in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Desire Tours and Travels offers processing and logistics support to help applicants have their visas stamped, with applicable logistics charges. This means that individuals do not need to personally visit the Costa Rican Embassy in New Delhi, India to process their visa.

Tourist Visa Requirements:

1. Valid passport: The passport must have a validity of at least 6 months beyond the date of entry/visa issuance.
2. Completed Visa Application Form: Applicants must fill out the visa application form accurately and completely.
3. Passport-sized photograph: One color passport-sized photograph (2 in. x 2 in.) is required.
4. Itinerary: A photocopy of the itinerary issued by the travel agency, as well as a pre-paid air or bus ticket showing the departure from Costa Rica, should be provided. It is recommended not to purchase airline tickets until the visa has been approved.
5. Proof of economic status: Applicants must provide proof of solid economic status, such as bank account statements, salary statements, or other financial documents for the last three months.
6. Police record: A police record issued within the last six months, authenticated by the Secretary of State with an “Apostille” certification, is required. The record should be translated into Spanish.
7. Purpose of visit: Applicants must provide proof of the purpose of their visit to Costa Rica.
8. Police Clearance Certificate: A Police Clearance Certificate issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should be included.
9. Additional documents: The Consulate may request additional documents at its discretion.

Please note that providing these documents does not guarantee visa approval. In case of visa denial, applicants must wait for six months before reapplying.

Business Visa Requirements:

8. Police Clearance Certificate: A Police Clearance Certificate issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should be included.
9. Additional documents: The Consulate may request additional documents at its discretion.

It is important to note that all travelers must present a Yellow Fever Vaccination certificate.
